Brave Puffin’s build started in early 2019, with a few progressively bigger prototypes. I committed to some design decisions early on: differential steering, full autonomy, dynamic power management, underwater brushless motors but iterated on other ones: catamaran vs. monohull, types of motors and propellers, power budget, electronics.
This was a very rewarding, fun, hands on side project where I had to learn a lot of things. I plan on posting interesting build details, assuming the boat is alive and there is interest.
